'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League comeback

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is presently midway through the four-year contract he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden significant achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about coming back home as he earlier was, and would seriously think about extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Future success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's main focus
